Grcic’s Diana E table is part of a family of brightly colored end tables that can be used individually or together. While they are related in size and angular composition, each is a variation on the design of bent sheet steel and has a different vivid powder-coated color.

After graduating from London’s Royal College of Art in 1991, Grcic set up his own practice in Munich, KGID (Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design). He said the earliest Diana designs were complex, some even with a swivel mechanism as seen here, but, “the more I worked on the project the more I understood that even a few simple folds were sufficient to create a beautifully three-dimensional form.”
