British designer Jasper Morrison’s Air chair is an example of his ongoing interest in an austere minimalism associated with everyday objects, as well as new technology.

The chair utilizes gas-injected molding, which creates pressure in the melted plastic, forcing it to fill the mold using less material. This efficient and economical process results in a lightweight chair, hence its name, Air. It is available in a variety of colors and sold in sets of four of the same color. In addition to the stacking chairs seen here, The Air line includes folding chairs and tables in various sizes, for use indoors or out.
